Abstract

290,230. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. May 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Monoazo dyes yielding on wool clear greenishyellow dyeings, fast to light and water, are obtained by coupling a. diazotized anilinemonosulphonic acid containing no further substituents with 1-(2<1>-chloro-5<1>-sulpho)phenyl-3-methyl-5- pyrazolone. In examples (1) sulphanilic acid, (2) aniline-o-sulphonic acid, are diazotized and coupled with the pyrazolone in alkaline solution. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use as diazo components of 2-methyl-1-aminobenzene-4-sulphonic acid, metanilic acid, 2-chloro- (or 2 : 5- dichroro)-1-aminobenzene-4-sulphonic acid, 2 : 5- dicholoro-1-aminobenzene-3-sulphonic acid, 2- chloro (or bromo)-6-methyl-1-aminobenzene-4- sulphonic acid, and 2 : 4-dichloro-1-aminobenzene-6-sulphonic acid. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
