Abstract

289,626. Selley, W. April 14, 1927. Cutters and tongs.-A cutter for stripping insulation from electric wires is provided with jaws 4 having notches 9 to receive the wire core and arcuate notches 8 tapering to form cutting edges while the cuter parts of the edges are of normal thickness to abut against each other and form a stop. The jaws may be at the ends of spring arms 2 or on crossed arms. The jaws may be made to cut with a scissors action, the cutting edges then being arcuate and tapering, Fig. 5.
