Stockings and socks. -A full fashioned stocking blank comprises a toe portion shaped along the lines 2 and with a parallelsided area 2, 4, a foot portion in three pieces united by split work-seams 7, a heel portion shaped along the lines 5, 9, 10, 8 and knitted upon one yarn only a parallel-sided ankle area with split-work seams 13 and optional reinforcements and a widened leg portion. The blank is made throughout by reciprocating knitting.
