Abstract
289,260. Slessor, W., Sorensen, P. E., Gallimore, J., and Wilton, D. April 30, 1927. Fixed-abutment type ; regulating pumps; reversing; discharge and suction pipes and passages for pumps. -A rotary pump of the type comprising a rotor C rotating about a fixed axis within a cylindrical barrel D which is adjustable to vary the eccentricity on either side of the axis by sliding in a fixed casing E, is provided with two and only two vanes 3, 4 movable radially in the same diameter of the rotor C and the supply and discharge ports are formed in the sliding faces of the barrel and casing, the barrel being provided with main and auxiliary ports 5, 5<1>. 6, 6<1>. The vanes may be fitted with pivoted shoes N. The eccentricity of the barrel D is varied by a hand wheel 10 and a passage 13 permits the passage of liquid from one side 11 of the barrel D to the other 12. The pump may be employed in a hydraulic power transmission gear Fig. 5 to supply a duplex motor B having two rotors. A lubricating pipe system is connected by T- pieces having non-return valves with the supply pipes K, K<1> so that lubricating liquid is supplied whichever pipe K or K<1> is the pressure side.
