Plasters and adhesive bandages; pressure appliances; wound-closing appliances; tourniquets.-A bandage for use in dressing wounds and for producing pressure or tension on the skin and forming a space for insertions consists of a strip a of fabric stuck to the skin or tied round the body and provided with two folds b having holes c through which a lace d is passed to draw the folds together. A pressure roller f of rubber &c. is placed between the folds b. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which two separate strips a<1>, a<2> and two pressure rollers f<1> <1> are used. Instead of the rollers f<1>, the ends i of the strips a<1>, a<2> may be formed as pressure rollers.
