Stapling, hand tools for.-A hand tool for inserting staples, for example for securing electric leads, comprises a tubular handle 1 having a flattened end portion in which is a transverse groove 4 for straddling the leads and a slot at each side to accommodate spring arms 3 having grooved ends to hold and guide a staple. A plunger 2 also having a flattened end portion with a concaved extremity has sliding movement in the handle limited by a pin and slot 6, 7. In a modification for inserting insulating staples, the handle and plunger are polysided and the free ends of the springs 3 are flat.
