Abstract

288,902. Moreau, F. C. Sept. 27, 1927. Handles with clamping- devices for brushes; fixing by screwed sockets. - In attaching pole handles to broom heads by fixings of the type comprising plates to clamp the head between them, one plate having a socket to receive the pole, the plates 1, 2 are non-overlapping and arcuate and have at the inner edge upstanding lugs 3, formed by upwardly bending a marginal projection of the plate. The socket 7 is internally screw threaded and tapering and is flared or flanged to secure by riveting.
