Pivoted handles with clamping and contract ing devices for socket fixings.-A device foi absorbing dust compris ing a bundle of oil. impregnated threads carried by a hollow woven cord threaded on a flat bent wire frame 2, and a hollow sleeve 6 to which a handle is attached, mounted to swing freely by means of a bent end 4 of the wire frame, is, characterized in that the bent end extends inwardly once across the frame from one side toa point near the middle thereof, without being rebent on itself (as is already known) and is freely rotatable in diametrically opposed holes 5 in the sleeve 6. The sleeve near its upper end is provided with a clamping device with a securing lever 9 that can be snapped over a dead centre. To prevent the sleeve slipping off the pin 14 of the rod 2, a retaining wire ring 15 is provided pressed into a groove in the pin 14, or a split pin may be used instead.
