Troughs for endless-belt conveyers; feet; sectional framework; idler rollers; tensioning; guards and shields to prevent falling off and spilling.-In endless-belt conveyers of the kind which travel in a channel formed between vertical side walls, the side walls 29, 33 are supported by angle irons 26, 32, Fig. 2. The higher wall 33 is on the goaf side so that material flung against it falls on to the conveyer. The idler rollers 1, 2 are supported on bearing brackets 3, 4 secured to the floor of the gallery. The journals 7, 8 of the rollers 1 are received in bearing boxes 5, 6 formed as open-work frames having two upright end members 9, 10 and a wider middle member 11, Fig. 1. Each bearing is protected by a casing 12. The members 9, 10, 11 -are connected by a horizontal member 15 having a lug 16 to which a section of the angle irons is bolted. One or more sets of the angle irons may be made telescopic in order to vary the tension of the conveyer.
