Abstract
287,552. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. March 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Metal casks; casks with protecting cases.-A metal drum comprises an inner receptacle formed in two parts A, A<1> welded together at a<2>, and an outer open ended shell B of rolled sheet-metal welded along the line b<4>. Inwardly diverted beads b<1> at either end locate the inner receptacle, and outwardly directed beads b<2> facilitate handling the drum. In manufacturing the drum the bends b<2> are rolled in before bending the shell U. The shell is now welded along the line b<4> and the receptacle A, A<1> slid inside. The beads b<1> and the rim b<3> are now applied. Specifications 14822/12 and 263,107 are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the inner receptacle is subjected to a high internal pressure to mutually tension the two shells. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
