286,210. Euromerican Cellulose Products Corporation, (Assignees of Dorner, B.). Feb. 28, 1927, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Alkali-metal compounds, recovering from liquors containing organic matter. - Waste liquors from soda processes for making cellulose from maize or other straw, wood &c. are treated to separate organic matters in a form suitable for making animal foods or for fermentation to produce alcohol &c. by treating with carbon dioxide or purified flue gases until the liquor is not alkaline to litmus and boiling the liquor to concentrate it and cause precipitation of organic matter. A further or a more complete precipitation may be effected by treating the liquor after cooling with carbon dioxide, preferably under pressure. Specification 283,851, [Class 5 (ii), Housing &c. animals], is referred to.
