Abstract

286,086. Hagiwara, K. March 1, 1927. Electric endosmose.-For the purpose of assisting the passage of the solution used for the spinning of artificial silk, through the spinning nozzles or through a filtering surface, an electrode is placed in the solution in advance of the nozzle or the filtering surface and a second electrode in the coagulating-bath or behind the filtering surface, and an electric current as from an induction coil, is passed through the solution between the electrodes so as to produce a desired migration of the material to be spun.
