285,807. Landis et Gyr Soc. Anon. Feb. 21, 1927, [Convention date]. Casings for meters.-A glass cap 2 is secured to the baseplate 1 of an electricity meter by means of a metal band 6 passing over the cap and having riveted to its ends angle-pieces 7 engaging screws 8 which are screwed into lugs 9 fixed to the base-plate 1. The cap 2 is thus pressed down on to packing in a channel 3 on the base-plate 1. The angle-pieces 7 may be provided with holes 10 to enable a. lead seal to be applied to the cap 2. Alternatively the edge of the-glass cap may be formed with a groove, into which fits the edge of the base-plate 1.
