Abstract

340,425. Glazing. LANDIS ET GYR, SOC. ANON., 1, Hofstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. Jan. 23, 1930, No. 2446. Convention date, Feb. 9, 1929. [Class 20 (iii).] The inspection window of an electric supply meter &c. comprises a frame 4 of Z-shaped section having a flange 8 enclosing the edge of the glass 7 and a flange 10 which enters a bead 3 formed in the cover 1 of the meter. The flange 8 is formed with lugs 9, which are bent down to hold the glass in the frame 4. At the corners the glass is cut away to provide room for blocks 5 through which pass rivets 6 by which the frame 4 is riveted to the cover 1 as shown in Fig. 3, which is a section on the line B-B, Fig. 1. The bead 3 may be filled with cement or other packing material.
