Abstract
285,387. Trocknungs-, Verschwelungs-, und Vergasungs-Ges. Feb. 14, 1927, [Convention date]. Coking and carbonizing processes.- Powdered fuel and gas are supplied at the bottom of an externally heated d chamber, the gases generated being removed at the top. The container 1 of heat conducting material is surrounded by a heating jacket supplied with gas fuel through a pipe 4; the products of combustion are discharged through the pipe 5. The lower end of the container is provided with a distributor 6 to which the powdered material is supplied by the helical conveyer 17. The material passes from the pipe 18 beneath the disc 19 and is scattered centrifugally by the funnelshaped rings 21 forming the distributor 6. The gas with the carbonized particles passes upwards from the container, through the cooling device 7<1> to the centrifugal separator.
