283,452. Wicksteed, R., and Wicksteed & Co. (1920), Ltd., C. Oct. 4, 1927. See-saws; swings.-A device for limiting the oscillation of see-saws, swings &c. comprises a friction-plate 15 secured to the supporting frame and a second plate 22 secured to the moving part, each plate being provided with face cams 17, 19 and 24, 25 to engage one another when the oscillation reaches a predetermined amplitude. One or more springs 30, 33 which may be adjusted by screws 36, prees one plate towards the other, but a tube 26 interposed between the plates normally keeps them apart. Gradual application of the braking force is provided by making the cam surfaces helical. The friction surfaces may be detachable
