Charges, conveying. - Relates to the rollers, conveyer belts, link chains, or other form of conveyer which does not have an uninterrupted supporting surface, used for conveying glass plates from rolling or drawing apparatus to, or through, annealing or cooling apparatus. According to the invention, the surfaces of the rollers or belts are fluted, grooved, or pitted in order to reduce the area of contact between the glass and the material of the roller and thus reduce the chilling of the glass due to this contact.
