282,659. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. Dec. 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Addition to 231,130 and 275,212. Sights and methods of sighting.-A gyroscopically-controlled sight of the kind described in Specification 231,130, and as modified by the invention of Specification 275,212 for use at a remote control station, is provided with firing-contacts i<2>, h<4> which enable all the guns of a battery to be fired at correct elevation simultaneously. Further, the gear F for adjusting the cardan axis e<2> to the firing angle is connected through a transmitter N<3> to a pointer device Q at each gun station which pointer is followed when elevation is applied to a gun through its hand gear S, t<1>. In the form shown, the sighting-device is mounted on a pedestal P at the control station and connected to a number of guns, only one of which is shown. The telescope H<2> is mounted on a gyroscopically-controlled casing H freely mounted on the inner gimbals h', the outer-gimbals e<2> being parallel to the gun. The gimbals e<2> are mounted in a toothed sector e' adjustable for elevation by the gear F in an arcuate guide B trainable on the pedestal P by a gear C and connected by an electric transmitter c<1> with receivers d<1> at each of the guns. Corrections for angle of list are introduced through a handwheel N' and follow-the-pointer device N at the control station. Individual corrections in elevation and training are effected by devices Q<1>, d<2> respectively at each gun station.
