Dropping-roller feeds; sheet-registering devices; sheet-separators.-In the sheet-feeding mechanism described in the parent Specification, in which the sheets are registered laterally by inclined rollers 35, Fig. 1, against a fixed side guide and longitudinally against a moving front stop 8, the side guide is replaced by a travelling abutment 71, Fig. 3, moving in the same direction as the sheets. The abutment 71 projects downwardly from a sleeve 70 adjustable laterally on a bar 69, fixed preferably adjustably on the belts 4 which carry the front stop 8. A vertically-adjustable curved finger 72 mounted on the abutment 71 prevents the sheet edge from rising. To ensure that the sheets engage the abutment 71, a. metal strip 73 lying along the rollers and having a fine edge is provided so as to lift the sheet edge slightly.
