Abstract

Chairs, securing to sleepers; chairs with fixed jaws.- The rail is placed between the jaw faces h of a chair pivoting at a on a central screw and secured by spikes or screws passing through arcuate slots b. The chair is then rotated to bring the jaw faces d into engagement with the rail, and so that washers under the screw-heads engage the sloping parts c of the slots b, the screws being then tightened to prevent rotation of the chair.
