Abstract

553,885. Securing rails to sleepers. PHILPLUG PRODUCTS, Ltd., and TAYLOR, C. H. Jan. 9, 1942, No. 384. [Class 104 (ii)] In securing rails to sleepers by means of clamps 9 fixed to the sleeper by screws &c. 3 having a spring 8 interposed between the clamp and the head of the screw, an adjustable plate 12 engaging the rail edge is arranged between clamp and sleeper, and is toothed at 12a to engage a projection 9c on the clamp, and provide a number of settings. The underside may have teeth 12b so that the plate may be reversed to provide different settings.
