Projectors.-A toy weapon adapted to project a jet of liquid comprises a container for the liquid, consisting of a cylinder having one or more orifices and a plunger, adapted to be inserted into the barrel of the weapon and to be collapsed by the striker to eject the liquid, As shown, a pistol, Fig. 1, has a spring b that is normally retained in compression, but is releasable by a trigger d to actuate a striker e. An aperture g is formed in the barrel to receive a collapsable container f for the liquid. The container, Fig. 3, comprises a plunger i slidable within a cylinder h, the plunger being provided with an orifice k. The conical ends of the container are adapted to be engaged by correspondingly shaped recesses in the striker e and the forward end l of the band, so that upon the release of the spring, the container is collapsed and a jet of liquid projected through the orifice k. In modifications, the container may be secured to the barrel, several orifices may be provided in the plunger i ,and the spring may be replaced by a compressed-air device. The device may be used in firing at targets or may discharge a jet of benzine for the destruction of insects.
