[This subject-matter was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 24, 1927]. Cold and heat retaining vessels.-The insulating jacket of a vessel for storing liquefied gases is loosely packed with layers of inorganic material such as kieselguhr interspersed with supporting layers of slag wool, celllose fibre, &c. to provide interstices occupied by air. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of silica gel, produced by the introduction of carbonic acid gas into a solution of water-glass, for producing vacua, in the jackets of vessels for storing and transporting liquefied gases. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
