Strainers comprising grids or gratings. - Apparatus for the treatment of motor and lubricating oils &c. comprises a casing e and buckets a, c fitting one within the other and having longitudinal slits b, Figs. 1 and 2, or longitudinally aligned holes p, Fig. 3, in their side walls. The bottom of the outer bucket forms also a bottom for the inner bucket. The inner bucket is turned so that its slits or holes are displaced relatively to those of the outer bucket, the fineness of the straining being regulated in this way. The casing is provided with a cover g having an inlet i and with an outlet f. The buckets are secured in mutual relation by a pin n.
