Abstract

280,193. Vidal, R. Nov. 5, 1926, [Convention date,]. Cleansing-compositions serving also for wash textile fibres or fabrics are obtained by treating with alkali hypochlorites fatty acids or animal fats or oils, alone or mixed with mineral oils. In an example, 70 lb. of oleic acid and 140 lb. of sodium hypochlorite solution are mixed. The thick paste recovered as an upper layer is soluble in water. The oleic acid may be replaced by fatty acids obtained from oils of arachis, copra, whale, soya, tallow or maize; and these may be first mixed with the fatty acid, paraffin oil, petrolatum oils, valvolines, oleonaphthas, mazout, or other mineral oil. Specification 223,601 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 20820/12 and 250,108.
