Abstract

333,177. Rayner, A. May 3, 1929. Washing, processes and materials for.-Yarns or fabric are washed by first applying a soapforming acid and then treating the impregnated material with dilute alkali to generate soap in situ. The acid may be applied as a dilute emulsion containing about one to two per cent of acid, the concentrated emulsion comprising 60 parts by weight of commercial olein, 2 parts of Turkey red oil, one part of gelatine and 37 parts of water.
