Abstract

280,024. Whitehead Torpedo Co., Ltd., and Jones, A. E. Oct. 22, 1926. Valve gear. - A valve lever is made up of two parts A, C, the former having a lateral spigot A' which carries the cam bowl B and has a reduced end A<1x> fitting into a hole C<X> in the other part C. A bridge-piece C<1> on the part C engages the valve stem, and is formed with a lug C<1x> which engages over the upper part of the member A. Holes A<3>, C<3> are provided for the lever pivot. The lever is particularly adapted for engines such as are described in Specification 284,024, [Class 122 (i), Engine and like cylinders &c.].
