Abstract

279,571. Tomiska, A. Aug. 5, 1926. Breech actions, drop-down barrel; barrel; sights. - The barrels of an under-and-over gun are secured at the breech end in a barrel body 2 which has forwardly extending side cheeks 3 to which the forestock is secured and a web 6 connecting these cheeks and forming a spacing member for the barrels. The barrel body is hinged to the breech body by trunnions 7, the axis of which passes between the barrels. A sighting bar 13, Fig. 4, is secured in position by its ends fitting in undercut notches in the barrel body and in a muzzle sleeve 12.
