279,210. Sturmey, J. J. H. Sept. 4, 1926. Drawings to Specification. Moulding pulp. - Bottles or like liquid containers having outer absorbent surfaces or jackets for cooling by evaporation of water absorbed in the surfaces are made of pulp by a modification of the processes described in Specifications 115,587 and 208,063. Plain wood pulp solution is fed from a tank and deposited on the inside of a mould, as in the processes referred to, and before or after the application of compressed air and superheat a pulp solution containing sulphate of alum and resin or other waterproofing material is fed from another tank to the mould. Where a separate jacket is used the bottle proper is made from the hardening pulp solution in one mould and the jacket, open at the bottom, is made in another mould from the plain pulp solution.
