Securing globes, shades, and reflectors to holders.-A lamp globe, shade, or reflector 7 is secured to a bell-shaped or other holder 2 by means of a number of pivoted hooks 4 the lower ends of which are engaged directly by cams 9 provided on a rotatable ring 8 and are held under an outwardly-extending rim 7a on the globe. The holder 2 has an annular transverse portion 5 provided with slots 6, and a cylindrical enlargement 3 provided with slots 3<a>, whilst the hooks 4 have tail pieces 4a, beaded portions 4<b>, and bent portions 4<c>. The tail portions 4<a> extend through the slots 6, the bent portions 4<c> rest on the upper edge of the enlargement 3, and the beaded portions 4<b> extend through the slots 3<a>. The ring 8 is shaped to rest on the lower portion of the holder 2 and has a conical portion 8a to allow the hooks 4 to move radially outwards to clear the enlargement 3. A number of stops 14 secured to the holder 2 extend through slots in the ring 8, so as to limit the rotary movement of the ring, this movement being facilitated by means of co-operating stops secured to the top of the ring 8. Accidental rotation of the ring may be prevented by means of a spring. spring catch, or friction device arranged in or combined with the cams 9.
