Ice-cream and like freezers. - Apparatus for freezing liquids comprises a liquid container c, which is held liquid - tight in a vacuum flask b containing a cooling-mixture by a ring p and a cover g, and an outer cover a having end caps l, t and an internally screwed ring i with which the ring p engages. The cooling- mixture is fed into the flask through an opening closed by a stopper e. The container c is provided with plain or perforated rings for retarding the flow of the cooling-mixture when the apparatus is inverted, and a central rod u having ribs v, the angled outer edges of which engage with the inner surface of the container to assist the flow of heat from the centre of the container to its outer surface.
