Surface markings.- Road - surface markings for traffic guidance are formed of flexible, upstanding fins or blades c arranged transversely or at an inclination to the line of traffic, to give improved visibility. The fins, which are preferably formed integral with the rubber caps of the paving blocks, are wedge-shaped in cross section and rise from the rubber caps, as shown in Fig. 3 or Fig. 8. Each fin may be in the form of a row of pins, Fig. 6, and the fins. may be combined with raised circular marking studs d, Fig. 10, the fins in some cases being formed integral with such studs.
