Moulding by dipping; processes. - Decorative hollow bodies of cellulose or cellulose derivatives, e.g. bottle capsules, are formed by immersing moulds successively into two or more cellulose masses of different character, before coagulation, so as to produce superposed layers intimately united. The first layer may contain a suitable pigment and may be covered by a glossy transparent layer. Multi-coloured bodies may be produced by dipping the mould into differently coloured solutions, overlapping layers being produced by decreasing the depth of immersion in successive dippings. Metallic lustrous effects are produced by first dipping into a mass containing a, lustrous filler such as graphite, mica or powdered glass and then into a mass adapted to produce a coloured transparent or translucent layer.
