Abstract

276,169. Saxelby, F. A. Sept. 29, 1926. Seat attachments.-Pillion and like seats for motor-cycles &c. comprise top and bottom frames A, C formed of resilient strip &c. members with cantilever ends, between which springs E may be fixed, the seat proper F, which may have a flexible or rigid base, being disposed within the cantilever ends of the top frame. The lower frame C is secured to the carrier by straps, clips, &c. at points G, G<1> away from the ends. Additional springs may be removably inserted between the top and bottom frames, and held in position by means of projections K, with or without spring clips, or by bolts and nuts &c. The top and bottom frames may alternatively be formed of resilient oppositely-disposed bow-shaped members meeting at the ends, the springs E being thus dispensed with.
