Channels in cranks.-A crank-pin having an eccentric bush for the purpose of varying the piston stroke in motors of the variable stroke type is formed with a lubricating groove 41 at the part nearest to the crank-shaft, which is the part which receives the pressure due to centrifugal force. Oil supplied through channels 37, 40 traverses the groove 31 and thence passes by a passage 42 to a central channel 38 which is connected by passages 43, 44, 45 to the inner surface of the eccentric bush 31. Holes are provided in the bush to allow the oil to lubricate the connecting-rod big end and the ball bearings. To equalize wear, a loose bush, perforated for lubrication may be placed between the crank-pin and the eccentric bush.
