Abstract

275,496. Nissen, N. F. Feb. 15, 1927. Directing and adjustably supporting endless belt conveyers; portable conveyers.-In a device for the removal of ashes and the like by a conveyer dipping into a water trough the water trough is arranged so as to be movable to facilitate repair. As shown in Fig. 2 the trough a is capable of swinging on the shaft b of one of the guide rollers of the endless belt conveyer d so that it can be swung together with the conveyer away from the outlet funnel f, which is then closed by a damper c. Fig. 3 shows the trough a arranged on a travelling frame o which is raised off the floor by screws e when in position so that the trough contacts with the ash funnel, to which it may be secured by screws. In this form also the trough may be pivoted to the frame o at b so that it can be swung downwards to clear the ash funnel when the frame is lowered and moved away. Alternatively the ash funnel may be bodily lowered on to the trough a and removed therewith. In a further modification a long trough is provided receiving ashes from several funnels and movable by means of hangers on rails.
