Abstract

274,833. Rosenberg, H. July 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Wood-screws.-To facilitate entry, a screw is formed with a groove varying in depth and width along the length of its thread. The screw has a thread 4 of relatively high pitch and the groove 5 starting at an intermediate point increases gradually in depth till the outer diameter of the thread is reduced to the root diameter at the point of entry. The screw may be casehardened.
