Abstract

273,343. Bastheim, S. June 28, 1926, [Convention date]. Oval - link chains. - Stud links are formed by bending a rod b at both ends at a<1>, a<2>, then bending it to oval form with the parts a<1>, a<2> superposed but separated by the thickness of the rod, as shown in Fig. 2, and finally, after passing the previously made link d, Fig. 4, into it through the gap between the parts a<1>, a<2>, bringing these parts into contact and welding them together to form the stud and to close the link.
