Rod fittings.-One end 4 of a reel plate 5 is inserted in a fixed socket 3 on the handle 2 of a fishing rod and the other end 4<a> in an axial slot 9 in a threaded sleeve 8 carrying a tapering collar 10 and a nut 11. The end 4<a> fits snugly in the slot and is secured by moving the collar 10 axially by means of the nut 11.
