Rods and rod fittings.-An end-ring for a rod is furnished with a sheave, arranged to present a fair lead for the line whether it be used above or below the rod. A sheave g is supported in a forked-member e, which is movable about the pivot d and may be locked in the required position by a set screw k or similar device. The Figure shows the rod in use with the line below the rod. If it is desired to angle with the line above the rod, the end ring is moved to its other position and the line passed on the other side of the sheave. A guard j is fitted to the forked member e.
