Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.- Fixed apparatus for lubricating colliery tub axles comprises a corrugated wheel i mounted on an axle j carried by a bar l, pegs m depending from each end of the bar entering hollow vertical tubes g containing coiled spring h and supported from the bottom of a grease trough a by upstanding lugs f. The bar l comprises a pair of arms l<2>, l<3> between which the wheel i is arranged, the arms being united at their ends by crown pieces l<4>, l<5> to the underside of which the pegs mare applied. A lid n is carried by the bar, having a gap n<2> at one side through which the wheel i projects. The bar, lid and wheel may be lifted out as a unit and reversed so as to dispose the wheel at the other side of the trough.
