Thermionic amplifiers and detectors.-In rereflex wireless receivers in which high-frequency .currents are passed to a detector v<1> through a high-frequency transformer, oscillation is controlled by a separate absorption circuit x<1>, y<1> tuned to the same frequency as the grid of a reflex valve v and tightly coupled to the tuned secondary circuit l<3>, c<1> of the high-frequency transforrrer. The secondary of the high-frequency transformer is connected to a. leaky-grid rectifying-valve, the plate circuit of which con- 'tains a reaction coil l<4> and the primary t of a low-frequency transformer. Fixed resistances r<1>, r<2> are used in the filament circuits. Alternatively a crystal detector is used in place of the valve detector. Selectivity may be enhanced by tapping the secondary of the high-frequency transformer. Grid bias is obtained from a batterv b<3> between the secondary t<1> of the low-frequency transformer and the filament f of the re- 'flex valve.
