Abstract

Thermionic valve circuits.-In a reflex circuit, inter-electrode capacity of the dual purpose valve is wholly or partly neutralized and the' rectified audio-frequency currents are fed back to the valve grid through impedances preventing the flow �f radio-frequency currents into the rectifier circuit. The neutralizing condenser 5 may be used to control reaction in which case neutralization is incomplete. The output from the crystal rectifier 13 is fed back to the grid of the valve 4 through a high-frequency choke 16 and high non-inductive resistance 17, the former preventing highfrequency currents from flowing into the crystal circuit, while the resistance assists the choke and also serves to prevent low-frequency backcoupling. The transformer 11 has identical primary and secondary windings wound on the same former, the condenser 12 tuning both windings; the capacity of the windings may be increased by a parallel condenser 19. The device 7 may be an intervalve or output transformer &c. or the sound reproducer may be directly connected in the anode circuit.
