270,292. Svenska Aktiebolaget Bromsregulator. May 3, 1926, [Convention date]. Compensating for wear.-In a brake gear comprising a brake cylinder 2 having a piston rod 4 connected to a brake lever 3 which is connected by a rod 5 to a similar brake lever 1 the free ends of the brake levers 3, 1 being connected to brake rods 8, 7 respectively, the free ends of the levers are connected by a coupling rod 14 and a slotted link 13, which upon application of the brakes, swings in a lateral direction to operate the slack adjuster 9. The slotted link has an inclined part 12, and a pin 15 on the brake lever 1 and a lever 11 mounted on the pin 15 are each provided with a roller 16, 17 respectively which works in the slotted link. When the relative movement of the free ends of the links 1, 3, upon the application of the brakes, is such as to permit the roller 16 to enter the inclined part 12 of the slot, the roller 17 moves laterally and rotates the slack adjuster 9 by means of the pin 10.
