Indicating-mechanism. - The rack-foot of a weighing-scale is connected to a movable member of the scale by means of pins having pointed ends, which ends are adapted to prevent relative movement between the rack-foot and the movable member along their pivotal axis. As shown, the foot 12 of a rack 13 is provided with two apertured fingers 11 disposed within the bifurcated end of a lever 6 of the weighing-mechanism. Two pointed pins 9 fixed in the bifurcations 7, 8 project through the apertures in the fingers and engage plates 15 secured to the inner sides of the fingers, thereby preventing axial movement of the foot relative to the lever. The pins 9 and plates 15 may be hardened, and the apertures in the fingers 11 may be of square or other polygonal shape to reduce friction.
