Abstract

232,442. Uhlich, R. June 12, 1924. Slide-rules.-The four scales are to the same base, but scales A1, B1 are displaced with respect to the other two scales A2, B2 by an amount equal to log 3, and the portion graduated from 1 to 3 is placed at the right-hand end as shown. Percentage scales x, y may be added to facilitite calculations wherein a quantity is to be increased or decreased by a percentage. The left-hand end of scale A2 is extended to the graduation 9. The slide may be limited in its endwise displacements by a pin secured to it and adapted to co-operate with two cross-pins fixed in the body.
