Abstract

268,709. Chaloner, W., and Willsdon, R. W. Jan. 11, 1927. Ladders.-An attachment for ladders comprises a framework formed of main side-brackets 3 carrying a transverse member 7 with rollers to rest on the wall and pivoted side-brackets 11 to carry a member 10 for bridging openings such as window spaces. Each main side-bracket is provided with a bifurcated end 4 to engage over a ladder rung and a recess 5 to engage an upper rung for securing to the ladder. In a modification, spring clips 17 are provided on the upper part of each bracket whereby they are clamped to the ladder sides.
