Rollers. - Each selfweighted top roller 6, Fig. 1, driven frictionally by the fluted bottom roller 5, is formed with a central boss 9 which serves to open the nip 13. Alternatively, each top roller 13 is plain and the long bottom roller 12 is provided with bosses 11, Fig. 3, in positions corresponding to the middle of the length of each top roller.
