Abstract

267,944. Jensen, J. C. March 16, 1926, [Convention date]. Measures of capacity; sampling liquids.-A device for taking samples of and measuring liquids, such as milk, and for pouring the samples into a test tube, bottle, &c., consists of a container a with a conical bottom in which is a valve c attached to a part d. The container a is immersed in the liquid, and filled, the valve c being shut. The device is then placed on the neck of bottle &c. h; the container a then seats itself on the part d, and the liquid descends into the bottle. Notches k in the shoulder e of the part d allow air to escape from the bottle.
