Abstract

267,147. Hroch, J. March 4, 1926, [Convention date]. Suction apparatus.-In suction boxes for paper, cardboard, cellulose, and similar machines, wherein three rollers 1, 2. 3 are used together with adjustable end pieces 6 to accommodate the machines to different widths of paper &c. being made, the suction box is made more air-tight by using end pieces formed of a number of plates 7 alternating with similar smaller plates 8, the latter leaving spaces 9 communicating by holes 17 with spaces 15 to which fluid under pressure is supplied by pipes 16. The suction is effected through pipes 11. The end pieces 6 are mounted in supports 12 in the frame 13 and are adjusted by hand wheels 14.
